ตลาดคลองสาน ๑๐๐ ปีที่ฉะเชิงเทรา

Hi Guys,

I visited this amazing market simply because a friend of mine asked me to accompany him to pay hommage to Luang Por Sothorn in Chacheongsao. What srikes me when I strolled in the market was the friendliness and warmth of the place and people in the market. The place brought back some good primary school memories to me. For instance, two of my most favourite dishes, kai no kra ta and wan yen. My memories of year 5-6 are full with joy of wan yen with my mates after class.

We also wandered around the market and found a number of old-fashioned shops which also remind me of Thailand in 1980s. At that period, I was in my secondary school and loved to skipped some (boring) classes to the market around my school where I chatted with shop vendors, customers, uncles and aunties.

We stopped by a an authentic restaurant called 'Chuan ma' ชวนมา which is well-known by the locals of Chacheongsao. The best crab rolls orr Hoy Jor was served with sweet plum sauce and fresh cucumbers. Of course, it's one of the most popular dishes from this restaurant. We also ordered Kang Som Cha Om Kai , Yum Oyster and Pla Tod......hmmmmmm อร่อยมาก

The day was filled with joy and laughs with friends and new friends from the market. We found millions of products/toys/food/fashion items at the market. The highlight of the day is iced coffee at uncle Lee shop. He's the landmark of the market and always in front of his shop. He showed us a big photo albums of his clients which include a number of celebrities, politicians, sportstars and singers.

It's only 30 minutes away from the heart of Bangkok! You have got to go there !
